The Trinidad Historical walking tour begins in Jigüe Square, where the city was founded in 1514. We continue through the main street of the city: Gutiérrez Street, which divides the ancient city from modern city.
Our first stop is the Museum of local history or Cantero Palace and Tower, from where you can see a panoramic view of the entire city and its main attractions.
Then we continue to the Plaza Mayor, the historic centre of the city where we can go to the Church of the Holy Trinity. Next is the Romantic Museum (rich in ancient artefacts from colonial times).
Our next visit is the old Convent of San Francisco, now the National Museum of the Struggle against Bandits.
Then we will go on to La Ermita de la Popa, located on the side of a mountain.
At Plaza de Santa Ana we can also make a stop at the pottery workshop run by the Santander Family. And next a trip to the beautiful old train station, which has been operating for over 100 years.
Next is a visit to the Plaza Carrillo in the modern part of the city.
For the end of the tour we will go to La Canchánchara, where you can enjoy a typical Cuban cocktail of the same name while listening to some great Cuban musicians.
